I ran across this on Ebay today. As an effects builder I often buy used vintage pedals to get circuit ideas. I use these old circuits to replicate and modify new pedal designs. However I also need to pass on a product at price that is competitive and fair for the products I build. I would love to have a vintage Uni-Vibe but wow, how can I pass on a fair price when I would already have
a starting point like this. I know I would own the pedal but its still all about cash flow. Don't get me wrong, I think its probably worth every dime this seller is asking, and some really licky but soon to be poor guitar player will get this great pedal,
but for now I will just not plan on a Uni-Vibe clone. So lets just all enjoy the picture of this great vintage pedal for now.
Please let me know if anyone who views this blog buys this pedal................so I can have pedal envy.

Cool Amp Company!
I was surfing the web the other day and ran across this amplifier company. We just happen to share a common name but have no affiliation. They are called Alpha & Omega Amplifiers. I really like to find and share other small company's that are making high quality products for the wonderful world of guitars. They make three amps. All tube and all based on classic proven vintage amp circuits. I'm planing on ordering one soon. I really like the one based on the Fender Bassman 4x10. Its more expensive than a Fender but I'll take small company hand made any day over large factory produced. Don't get me wrong, I do like Fender amps and their Blues DeVille is one of my favorites but I just like supporting small specialty company's. I have yet to hear one but I hope to soon.
Here are some pics and Stats:
The David:
- 30 watts output power
- one Alnico 12" and one Alnico 10" speakers
- all tube design, point-to-point wired
- 2 x 6L6 output, near Class A
- 5AR4 tube rectifier, 12AX7 preamp tubes
- single channel, Normal and High Gain inputs
- volume, treble, mid, bass, reverb controls
- true spring reverb
- birch plywood cabinet with covering
- 22" x 20" x 10"
- 40 lb
Here is a quote from their website:
"At A&O, we make our own cabinets
The Big Al:
- 40 watts output power
- four Alnico 10" speakers
- all tube design, point-to-point wired
- 2 x 6L6 output
- 5AR4 tube rectifier, 12AX7 preamp tubes
- four inputs, two channels (Normal and Bright)
- volume (x2), treble, mid, bass, presence controls
- birch plywood cabinet with covering
- 22.5" x 23.25" x 11.5"
- 50 lbs

Happy New Year!
I want to wish everyone a very Happy New Year. May God bestow peace and prosperity on all. May peace be found in the world. What a wonderful world we would have if we all served others with love and kindness. We may all have different opinions about religion, politics, and life in general but why kill each other over these differences. Start the New Year by being kind to someone you don't know. Get to know someone you would not normally associate with. Give something you don't need to someone who needs it. These small steps will go a long way.
God bless our troops and those they protect and serve here at home and abroad. God Bless our leaders whoever they may be. God give them wisdom to lead and protect. A new year can create a new beginning, so look for ways to change yourself and others will follow your change.
I personally put God and my savior Jesus Christ first in my life. I play music to honor and praise my Lord and help other to praise and worship Him. I trust God in my marriage, business and life. He has been faithful to his promises and I hope to be in His eternal presents (rock'n my guitar in worship) at the end of my life here on earth.

Analog Compressor (NEW)
You can't find a better compressor out there. Small footprint for a huge pedal so real estate is not a problem.

New Poll..........................
Did you take our new poll?
Look on the sidebar.
What effects pedals do you use most often?
We want to know so we can build the best possible effects pedals for you the players. We offer 11 pedals in our line but will always be doing R&D for new pedals. Just let us know what you like and would like to have. Some pedals will take time to perfect. We will not turn out a pedal unless it meets our high standards of quality and tone. After all if it doesn't sound great why build it.

Digital Delay with analog voicing? You bet. The Alpha Omega "Divine Echo"
Todays highlight is our Alpha Omega "Divine Echo" Digital Delay pedal. This little pedal will make you believe in delay again.
A digital delay voiced to have the same high end roll off that gave vintage analog delays their warm tone. The expensive BBD (bucket brigade delay) chips they used were not the secret...it was their high frequency filter. This filter rolls off a little high end with each repeat and creates the atmospheric effect of each repeat traveling farther and farther away. Most digital delays were unable to recreate this desired effect. The "Divine Echo" digital delay pedal is capable of up to 300ms of delay time and can be easily modified for longer delay times up to 600ms. And, yes...this delay self oscillates and yes it is true bypass. You can get everything from mellow reverb to sweet slapback to almost endless repeats. The Choice is yours.

Don't forget to vote in our poll.
Note on 600ms Modification: ( add $10.00 to pedal price)
Slight tonal change and some distortion may occur to end repeats at max delay times
with this mod. In live band situations this is not noticeable, and some have discribed it as desirable.

Alpha Omega "Vintage Line" Guitar pedals. The "Temptation" Distortion pedal
Just wanted to add a few more pictures of our Vintage Line of Guitar Effects Pedals.
This is our "Temptation" Pedal.
A very saturated distortion pedal based on the 1978 ProCo Rat circuit. This little pedal has been described as having a singing “vocal like” sound with tons of sustain and harmonics. The circuit has been modified with an added overdrive selection that will please any tube screamer lover. We even give you a Big Boost selection for added volume as a clean or slightly overdriven boost pedal. This pedal is hand built and hand finished. It features True Bypass switching, an internal 9v power supply and an external 9v input, Super bright red on/off Led, only top shelf components and awesome tone.
Control are:
Good = Volume
VS = Tone
Evil = Gain
Rat Icon = Rat Distortion circuit
Speaker Icon = Big Boost circuit
Tube Icon = Overdrive circuit

Keeping it simple!

I like simple. I don’t need much beyond volume, gain and some kind of tone shaping (as long as the pedal has a quality sound to begin with). I need the pedal to do its job simply and effectively. Do you constantly change settings on a pedal while playing live. I don't. I set the volume, gain and tone I like and need, stomp on the foot switch and play. Sometimes simple is just more efficient and user friendly. Knobs and switches are great for studio work when you have time to really tweak and use different tonal patterns, but most of us don't spend our lives in the studio, we play live. Just something to think about. After all isn't is all about the tone, and when you find it, it's HEAVENLY.
